Subterfuge Times like these I pass through this world unseen Fast forwarding this merciless journey Hastening my release from tedium So fragile So tired Life stilled in a tense stasis I walk with a willow grace Resisting unwelcome suspicions Willing bitterness away I'm too exasperated for caustic resentments Faith dims like gale-blown fires Blowing through sinuous dissipating patterns of emotion Converging with frail, ghost-like forsaken moments They dissolve into a rare striking nothingness Devoid of being They are guilty They are unclean Casting shifting blurs of subterfuge too dim to perceive A multiplicity of estranged sins Weariness shallows across my body Spells of delusion defile my soul These circumstances swirling around me render me helpless How will I face another troubling tomorrow? |
