Awaken in my Arms

I watch you slumber
And taste the flickering lamplight licking at your skin
Capturing every exquisite detail of your face

Gray cloud dancers grieve in lyrical hush across your sleeping body
And I adore the agony of the mournful quiet rainfall
Crying on the window glass above your head

Your shadow is a rare desert flower dancing on a warm gentle breeze
And your soul a shimmering waterfall where angels go to weep

Dark deep swirling passionate hopeless grieving
My lips touch the essence of your spirit

You are an unceasing storm deep in my fragile heart
And your love softly adorns my crumpled tears

Awaken in my arms, my beloved!
And embrace the desire that consumes  my soul
